Hummingbird Stencil - Reusable - Quality Mylar
Hummingbirds are darling little creatures that are often seen flitting around flowers and feeders, their wings flapping at crazy speeds, their colors shimmering in the sun. These magical little birds bring joy wherever they go and now you can bring a little of that joy into your home with our Hummingbird stencil. The Hummingbird design shows a stunning hummingbird in flight, wings outstretched, individual feathers detailed on the bird's tiny body. However, this stencil doesn't have to be tiny. Whether you want to use it to make handmade greeting cards, wood or metal art, designs on furniture, or a large mural on a wall in your home or in a nature store window, we have the right size for your needs. Available sizes include: 5” x 6” 8.5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” All you need is your imagination and to choose the most captivating colors and the right paint for the surface material, whether that is a wall, glass, plastic, fabric, paper, canvas, metal, or wood. You can even make a hummingbird cake and use the stencil to ice it because the mylar material is food-grade quality. And you can make this design truly unique by combining it with other stencils, such as our Hummingbird Deco stencil or the Hibiscus Flower stencil. The best part is using the Hummingbird stencil is simple. All you need to do is secure it to the surface and paint using a spray, roller, or brush. And when you're done, just wash with warm, soapy water and store it somewhere safe for future use. You are bound to want to use it again and friends and family will definitely want to borrow it.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar Stencil Material:

- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
