Heart Stencil - Reusable - Quality Mylar
Yes, that's right. This Heart stencil is just that – a great big plain old heart. It might be simple, but there are so many DIY projects you can make with plain heart stencils. Whether it is Valentine's Day, a wedding, an anniversary party, or you are welcoming a new baby into the world, this Heart makes it easy to decorate cards, gift bags and boxes, posters and signs, or something a little more elegant and permanent. We have small size Hearts for those smaller projects, but we also make it in larger sizes for when you need a big heart. You can even mix and match the sizes for a unique effect on a poster or sign. Just imagine a giant sign for someone's wedding that has one large heart in the middle with the bride and groom's names on in, surrounded by different sized hearts. Or imagine stenciling a heart on a hope chest that you will one day give to your daughter. Available sizes for the Heart template stencil include: 6” x 6” 8” x 8” 12” x 12” 15” x 15” 20” x 20” 25” x 25” 30” x 30” 35” x 35” Use red and pink for the hearts, add a little purple, or go with unique colors that match the wedding or celebration, such as silver and gold. Whatever colors you choose, be sure you have the right paint for the medium. Then all you have to do is secure the stencil and paint. Cleanup is a breeze with a little soap and water and the stencil can be stored away to be used as many times as you want. And you will use it again. It's a heart, after all, and love is always in the air.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar Stencil Material:

- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
