Giraffe Stencil - Reusable - Quality Mylar
The giraffe is recognizable by anyone and everyone. Even if you've never seen a giraffe in real life, you can't mistake its long neck and tiny antlers. What an evolutionary marvel this creature is, with its ability to reach the leaves that are high up in the trees. And now you can capture this marvel in your own DIY art and decor projects with our incredible Giraffe stencil. The Giraffe template shows the basic outline of the giraffe in enough detail that you can see the little nobs at the tips of its antlers. It offers the perfect design for a child's bedroom decor, especially when paired with any of our other animal stencils, such as the Bison stencil. The Giraffe stencil can be painted large on a wall to serve as the focal point of the room's decor or it can be painted smaller, perhaps as part of a wall border or on dresser drawers. The versatility of this stencil is made possible in part by the sizes in which it is available, which include: 5” x 6” 8.5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” Add to this the ability to paint it on virtually any surface and you have a truly amazing DIY tool. All you need is the right paint for the medium and you can paint the Giraffe design stencil design on walls, floors, concrete, glass, wood, paper, metal, plastic, and more. The best part is how easy this stencil is to use. You can literally decorate a child's room or create fantastic art in mere minutes. All you need to do is secure the stencil flat to the surface and apply the paint using a roller, brush, or spray. Then wash the stencil, using paint remover if needed, and tuck it away. The durable mylar can be used over and over again for many years to come.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar Stencil Material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
