Clouds Stencil - Reusable - Quality Mylar
Clouds impact our life in so many ways. They shade us from the strong rays of the sun, rain on us when they get heavy with water, and give us something fun to watch and see the shapes in on a warm summer afternoon. Clouds can also help art and decor come alive in unique ways, and we make that possible with our Clouds stencil. The Clouds design offer six uniquely shaped clouds that you can use in any way you want. Paint each cloud individually and arrange them in a unique way. Get multiple stencil sizes, so you can paint smaller clouds and bigger clouds in one design. We offer the Clouds template in the following sizes: 5” x 6” 8.5” x 11” 18” x 12” 24” x 18” 36” x 24” 48” x 32” 55” x 35” This is a great way to add some pizzazz to a child's bedroom wall or to a set for a play. You can use these clouds as a backdrop for a nature scene, using some of our other nature stencils, such as the Rainbow stencil, to create a gorgeous scene. The sky's the limit (pun intended) when it comes to using the Clouds stencil in your art and decor. When you are ready to use the cloud stencil, choose your paint color. You can make them puffy white clouds, dark and ominous storm clouds, or anything in between. As long as you have the right paint for the medium, you can paint on nearly any surface imaginable, such as walls, glass, paper, wood, plastic, metal, canvas, and concrete. You can even paint on fabric or use the stencil in your baking, since it is food-grade quality. When it's time to paint, secure the stencil flat and apply the paint with a spray, roller, or brush. The cloud shapes are simple and easy to paint. Then simply wash the stencil and tuck it away for future use. It's a durable material and can be used for many years to come.
Here are some advantages of using Mylar Stencil Material:
- FLEXIBLE: Mylar can wrap around cylinders and uneven or irregular surfaces, and can be rolled for shipping and storage.
- EASY TO CLEAN: Our Mylar is solvent proof, so cleaning up paint or ink is quick and simple.
- REUSABLE: Our stencils are built to withstand normal painting wear and tear, and keeping your stencil template clean is the best way to ensure a longer life.
- DURABLE: Mylar sheets are reputably the strongest type of stencil material, and maintains durability without compromising the pliable structure.

WHY DO WE RECOMMEND MYLAR?
As mentioned before, the best way to achieve a perfectly painted stencil with a very nice paint edge is to use a stencil material that is as thin as possible for your project. At the same time, you also want a material that wont absorb paint or any liquid because this will cause the stencil to deteriorate. A stencil made from paper, cardstock or paperboard will become saturated with paint or ink rather quickly, and this causes a crusty, uneven edge that can never be removed.
Another option for stencils, and one that quickly comes to mind when we discuss durability, is metal stencils. While these thick, unbendable stencils do have their place for some industrial applications where paint overspray and running doesnt quite matter as much, they can be very expensive and heavy to ship.
There are some other plastics that are used for stencil manufacturing, but these are typically cut with a die cutter so there is a limited amount of detail that can be achieved. And because this older, traditional process takes so much work and expense to set up for each stencil design, the minimum are often in the 1000s.
